Maybe I can help with Thomas Gasaway of Franklin Co., GA. There are two Thomas Gasaways in Franklin Co. I have not proven that they are father and son. The elder Thomas b. c1750 VA; d. 1820-1824 married Patsy Walker/Wallen in Franklin Co. She was his second wife. He had 7 children by 1st wife, per census data. The only child proved conclusively as his is Obedience Gasaway.
The younger Thomas b. c1780; d. 1846 Habersham Co. m. Lucy Wheeler. Two confirmed children: John W. m. Ruth Addison; Mary m. Sanford Addison. After death of Thomas, Lucy moved to Forsyth Co. GA with son John and his family. It is my opinion that the Gasaways/Gazaways in Franklin and Forsyth Co. are all related but have not proven it conclusively. Hope someone can help.

Addison Gassaway Enlisted as a Private at Smithfield on 8/11/62. A 21 year old farmer, Gassaway had hazel eyes, dark hair, a dark complexion and stood at 5'7". At an unknown date during his service, Gassaway was detached from the company as a Brigade Teamster. He was mustered out at Washington, DC on 6/3/65.
