Tina Lee Gazaway

Tina Lee Gazaway, 29, St. Louis, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, at St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, of complications from breast cancer. She was born Jan. 12, 1970, in Fort Scott, Kan. Her family lived in Nevada until 1983 when they moved to Carthage. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1988. After her graduation from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1992, she worked as a chemical engineer for ABB Nuclear Engineering in Herculaneum. Survivors include her parents, Glen and Judy Gazaway of Springfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick and Debbie Gazaway of Fair Play and Danny and Candace Gazaway of Carthage; a sister, Toni Gazaway, Strafford, Va.; five nephews and one niece; maternal grandparents, Verner and Mildred Franks, Nevada; and close friends Jennifer Ward of St. Louis and Kathy Stryker of Wheatland. A memorial service was held Sunday, Jan. 24, at Pleasant View (Large) Cemetery, Fort Scott, Kan. Her ashes will be placed around a tree planted at her parents' home at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to The Wellness Community of Greater St. Louis, 10425 Old Olive Street Road, St. Louis MO 63141. Attangements were under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South, Springfield.
