| MULBERRY -- John William "Bill" Gazaway, 63, of Mulberry, died at 2:04 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at the Moore Few Care Center at Nevada, Mo.
He was born March 27, 1937, at Croweburg, to Clifford and Frances Portwood Gazaway.
Mr. Gazaway was a farmer. He lived in the Garland area most of his life. He graduated from Bronaugh High School in 1954.
After his health forced him to retire, he was cared for by his brother, Galen, and his family.
He was baptized in the Hepler Christian Church. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany for two years.
Survivors include a sister, Patricia DeMott of Pleasanton; five brothers, Clifford Gazaway of Seattle, Leroy Gazaway of Nevada, Galen Gazaway of Nevada, Truman Gazaway of Liberal, Mo., and Glen Gazaway of Springfield, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a niece.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma with the Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Large Cemetery at Cato. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Bedene Chapel at Arma. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the Bedene Chapel at Arma.
